Maeve Binchy
Maeve Binchy was born on born 28 May 1940 in Dalkey, County Dublin and came to fame first as London Correspondent for the Irish Times. Her first novel, Light a Penny Candle, made her famous in the UK and USA.
A few of Maeve Binchys books have made it on to the big screen. Circle of Friends movie was released in 1995 and stars Actors Minnie Driver and Chris O’Donnell. Tara Road which was released as a movie in 2005, features Actors Andie MacDowell and Stephen Rea.
Maeve Binchy currently lives in County Dublin with her husband, Gordon Snell.
